Eurofiber, a prominent Dutch connectivity provider, has acquired Belgium-based Arcadiz, a leading supplier of critical connectivity solutions in the Benelux region. This strategic move aims to bolster Eurofiber's position in delivering robust and scalable network solutions across Europe.

Arcadiz, established in 1999 and headquartered in Leuven, has built a reputation for designing and implementing high-quality network infrastructures tailored for enterprises, governments, and public services. With a team of 38 professionals, the company is renowned for its bespoke solutions that meet stringent network requirements.

Kris Warreyn, Chief Executive Officer of Arcadiz, remarked,“Our clients have long relied on our expertise in critical connectivity. Partnering with Eurofiber allows us to expand our services and leverage the economies of scale offered by an international player. This collaboration enables us to better support our clients with state-of-the-art connectivity solutions.”

For Eurofiber, the acquisition aligns with its broader ambition to enhance its digital infrastructure footprint across Europe. Hans Witdouck, CEO of Eurofiber Belgium, emphasized the significance of the deal, stating,“Arcadiz has been a trusted partner for many years, with a substantial portion of its solutions utilizing our fiber-optic network. By joining forces, we strengthen our position in the market for critical enterprise connectivity. We share a common vision of innovation and reliability and look forward to continued growth with the Arcadiz team.”

This acquisition underscores Eurofiber's commitment to investing in open and accessible digital infrastructure. Clients of both companies can anticipate a more robust and innovative network, with expanded connectivity options throughout the Benelux region and beyond.

In recent years, Eurofiber has been actively expanding its presence in the European digital infrastructure market. The company operates an extensive fiber-optic network and owns multiple data centers across the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. Its open network model allows other providers to offer services over its infrastructure, promoting competition and innovation.

Arcadiz has also been instrumental in enhancing connectivity solutions in the region. Notably, the company collaborated with Infrabel, Belgium's railway infrastructure manager, to deploy Europe's first 64G Fibre Channel over Wavelength Division Multiplexing solution. This initiative aimed to improve connectivity for Belgian railway operations, highlighting Arcadiz's commitment to pioneering advancements in network technology.

The integration of Arcadiz into Eurofiber's operations is expected to yield significant synergies. By combining resources and expertise, the merged entity aims to deliver enhanced services to clients, ensuring high levels of reliability and performance in their network infrastructures.
