Heat Supply To 169 Apartment Buildings Restored In Donetsk Region After Shelling


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Heat supply has been restored to 169 apartment buildings in Donetsk region, which were previously cut off as a result of Russian shelling and damage to energy infrastructure.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

“As a result of enemy shelling in Donetsk region , the energy infrastructure was damaged. Consumers in Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk were left without electricity. Parts of Kramatorsk, Bilozirka and Vodiane were left without heating,” the statement said.

It is noted that on February 8, specialists completed repair and restoration work on the damaged power grid and supplied power to all subscribers. Work is currently underway to restore heat supply.

As of the morning of February 9, heat supply was restored to 169 apartment buildings, while 359 more buildings in Kramatorsk remain without heat.

According to the ministry, the estimated timeframe for restoring heat supply is within a day. In addition, seven steadfastness points have been deployed in the city.

As reported, the Russian army injured five residents of Donetsk region over the past day , February 8.
