QU, Doha Cables Qatar Sign Mou
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar University (QU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Doha Cables Qatar to strengthen mutual cooperation in various scientific, technical, research, and administrative fields.
QU's vice president for academic affairs Prof Ibrahim Mohamed al-Kaabi and Doha Cables Qatar vice president Ahmed Fathy El-Sewedy signed the MoU in the presence of other officials from QU and El-Sewedy Electric Group.
The MoU aims to foster collaboration between the two parties in areas such as exchanging expertise, conducting research and studies, and organising conferences, meetings, and training programs. It also includes provisions for training and employment opportunities for university students and graduates, as well as organising scientific visits and field trips to the company's facilities. Additionally, it encourages cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
Commenting on the agreement, Prof al-Kaabi, said: "It will positively contribute to the university's objectives of providing training and practical opportunities for students and graduates.”
El-Sewedy, said:“This partnership marks a significant milestone for both institutions as we collaborate to drive innovation and foster a skilled workforce in the region. By combining QU's academic expertise with Doha Cables' industrial leadership, we aim to create a dynamic platform for research, development, and talent development."
