Industrial Production Index Increases 0.59 % In January-October 2024 - Dos
The cumulative data for the period up to October showed a mixed performance across sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
While the production quantities in the manufacturing sector declined by 0.15 per cent, the extractive industries sector experienced a significant increase of 8.57 per cent, and electricity production rose by 5.15 per cent.
In October alone, the index showed an annual increase of 1.2 per cent, climbing to 87.17 points, up from 86.14 points in October 2023.
The monthly increase was due to a 0.56 per cent increase in manufacturing production, a 10.57 per cent rise in extractive industries production, and a 2.63 per cent growth in electricity production.
