Ombudsman Office Holds Event In Memory Of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman) hosted an event in honor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev's Memorial Day, Azernews reports.
Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, along with the Office's staff, paid tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the architect of modern, independent Azerbaijan, and academician Zarifa Aliyeva by visiting their graves at the Alley of Honor and laying flowers.
Following this, the delegation visited the bust of Heydar Aliyev in the Government House, erected in his memory. During the visit, Sabina Aliyeva spoke about Heydar Aliyev's significant contributions to the Azerbaijani people, highlighting his reforms in various fields, the strengthening of Azerbaijan's independence, and his efforts to uphold and protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.
She also noted the National Leader's instrumental role in bringing Azerbaijan's voice to the international stage and fostering recognition of the country's achievements on global platforms.
