“Naif Alrajhi Investment” acquired a strategic share in“Mawdoo3”, a pioneering company in Arabic artificial intelligence and data solutions. The acquisition is part of the group's efforts to diversify its investment portfolio and strengthen its presence in promising industries.“Mawdoo3” specializes in large language models (LLMs) and Arabic data solutions. It owns over 200 websites, including the most visited Arabic website, Mawdoo3, and the region's largest digital medical platform, WebTeb. These sites receive tens of millions of visitors each month and host a library of over one million expert-written articles, covering a wide range of topics.

In 2018,“Mawdoo3” was one of the first companies in the region to invest heavily in AI, launching its own Natural Language Processing (NPL) toolkit and developing large language models (LLMs) for multiple industries. These were later commercialized through products such as Qalam, an Arabic-specific AI tool; Salma, a virtual financial assistant that provides specialized banking services; Waraqa, and a platform that aims to improve data quality for AI.
