Dubai Municipality showcases innovation and sustainability in the construction sector at Big 5 Global 2024

(MENAFN- Weber Shandwick) Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 27 November 2024: Dubai Municipality is proud to participate in Big 5 Global, the premier international event for the construction industry, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 26 to 29 November 2024.
The municipality aims, through its participation in this prominent event, to showcase its latest efforts in supporting the development of the construction and building sector in the emirate. It also seeks to explore the latest practices and innovations in the field of construction, in addition to opening new avenues for collaboration and strengthening partnership channels with industry leaders worldwide.
H.E. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said: “Our participation in the Big 5 Global reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable urban planning and smart building systems. We aim to harness all capabilities to develop a smart, sustainable, and globally leading construction sector, reinforcing our aspirations and objectives to position Dubai as a pioneering, attractive, and sustainable city. The exhibition opens diverse pathways and integrated opportunities to enhance fruitful partnerships with the private sector and strengthen effective communication channels with stakeholders. It also provides an opportunity to showcase Dubai Government's strategies and initiatives in the field of construction, a vital sector that serves as a key pillar of the local economy.”
Eng. Maryam Obaid Al Muhairi, CEO of the Buildings Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, also remarked: " The exhibition represents an opportunity to showcase the integrated services provided by Dubai Municipality in the field of construction and geospatial systems, as well as its efforts to promote modern construction practices such as 3D printing, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other services and initiatives that support the development of the construction sector in Dubai. In collaboration with the organizers, Dubai Municipality will sponsor a dedicated area within the exhibition for modern construction systems, aiming to attract leading global companies in this field to display their products."
Dubai Municipality’s involvement extends beyond the exhibition floor. It is participating in the GeoWorld Exhibition and Conference, which focuses on geographic information technology and spatial data, and the LiveableCitiesX Conference, which promotes urban sustainability. The Municipality will also feature prominently at the Big 5 Leaders' Summit, engaging with key private and public sector figures to develop regional construction strategies. At the Future Tech Summit, Dubai Municipality will highlight transformative technologies and forward-thinking solutions for the construction industry.
Additionally, representatives from Dubai Municipality will participate in a series of panel discussions, workshops, and Big 5 Talks, offering insights into sustainability, modern construction techniques, and the role of technology in shaping the future of the sector.
