Azerbaijan Hitting Ground Running With Building Tartar-Aghdara Highway (PHOTO)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. construction of
the Tartar-Aghdara highway has started in Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the
State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.
The highway is a key piece of the puzzle in the road
infrastructure projects that hold significant weight in the
Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions,, and its
implementation is successfully and quickly continued by the agency
following the instructions of the President of the Republic of
Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Besides, as the agency sees it, the highway in question is set
to be a game changer for the socio-economic landscape of the
liberated territories.
The total length of the highway will be 24.2 kilometers, with a
width of 15 meters for the dirt roadbed.
It's being constructed with two traffic lanes, meeting the II
technical grade standards.
Currently, work is underway along the highway to remove damaged
pavement and roadbed material that is unsuitable for use, expand
the roadway, and construct the earthwork base, leveling layer, and
foundation sub-layer.
Additionally, the project is installing culverts and rectangular
drainage pipes of various diameters to ensure proper water flow
along the highway.
The construction work is being conducted in accordance with the
"Building Codes and Standards."
To complete the work according to the schedule, the necessary
workforce has been mobilized to the site.
The construction of the highway will not only ensure comfortable
travel but will also positively impact the socio-economic
development of the adjacent areas, added the agency.
