Armenian Deputy PM Reveals Latest Insights On Border Demarcation With Azerbaijan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Armenia and Azerbaijan have not yet deliberated on which segment will be allocated for the subsequent round of boundary demarcation, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a meeting of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Relations, Trend reports.

"There has been no discussion regarding the next segment. Principles for selecting areas have not yet been established. There is one directive - the issue must be resolved by consensus," he said.

On April 19, 2024, the eighth meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan concluded with the completion of their agreement on the Regulation on Joint Activities. August 30, 2024, marked the signing of the framework.

Currently, both Azerbaijan and Armenia have initiated internal procedures related to the process.
