Kyrgyzstan Kicks Off Manas Trade And Logistics Hub Project

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 17. Kyrgyzstan's Chairman of the Cabinet of the Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Manas" trade and logistics city, Trend reports.

The Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan's Alamudun district will host the ambitious project.

"We are embarking on a large-scale initiative-not merely constructing a trade and logistics center, but an entire city. This project is substantial: it will feature 30,000 trading points across 700 hectares, with total investments projected at $4.2 billion. The first phase will secure $700 million. The center will hold comparable importance and functionality to the largest seaports," Zhaparov stated.

He emphasized that the initiative will open up new investment opportunities.

"I firmly believe that establishing such a complex will significantly enhance regional and international trade relations, create new jobs, and improve export conditions. We wish the project every success," he added.
