Uzbekistan Keen To Work With Germany On Essential Raw Commodities - President
“As it has already been noted, our region is rich in mineral resources. The German Mineral Resources Agency and German companies could become our key partners in this sphere. We are talking about projects of geological exploration, intensive development, processing and production of products with high added value, and organization of supplies to Germany and other countries of the European Union,” Mirziyoyev noted.
He also shone a light on the golden opportunity to reel in technical assistance from Germany to whip up a program aimed at crafting digital maps of pinpointed deposits of critical minerals and rare earth metals in the region.
“We also consider it important to form a reliable legal basis for such cooperation,” the Uzbek president added.
To note, the second meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Germany was held in Astana.
In the course of the summit, the participants took a good, hard look at the nuts and bolts of advancing and strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the regional countries and Germany.
Great care was taken to broaden the horizons of practical cooperation in trade and economics, investment, technology, transport and communication, and other key areas of focus. Meetings were held with the bigwigs of top German companies and banks.
The summit concluded with the adoption of a joint declaration by the chiefs of state from Central Asia and Germany.
