Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan Give Thumbs Up On Postal Shipments Via Caspian Sea Port

Kyrgyzstan has reached an agreement with Turkmenistan to utilize a logistics complex with access to the Turkmenbashi port on the Caspian Sea for postal shipments, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz postal network operator Kyrgyz Pochtasy OJSC.

The OJSC's General Director, Marat Cherikchiev, held an online discussion with the General Director of the Turkmen postal service, "Turkmenpochta," Serdar Ovvadov, during which the parties signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement.

"The goal of this agreement is to establish stable and mutually beneficial relations in postal logistics and e-commerce. Special emphasis is placed on creating a seamless logistics chain between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan with the possibility of using the logistics complex connected to the Turkmenbashi port," the OJSC's statement said.

According to Cherikchiev, the signing of this agreement not only strengthens ties between the two postal operators but also paves the way for more efficient and accessible postal services for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.

"Improving logistics and speeding up postal deliveries are key aspects of this cooperation, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on both the economy and the daily lives of the populations of both countries," he added.

The agreement is expected to foster closer interaction between businesses and societies in both countries. It opens new opportunities for the development of e-commerce and the exchange of experiences and technologies, ultimately contributing to the strengthening of economic and social infrastructure.
