Azerbaijan, EBRD Debate Energy Sector Cooperation

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov has met with the Executive Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Türkiye and Caucasus, Elisabetta Falcetti, Trend reports, referring to the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Bank in the energy sector, considered current projects in such areas as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and transition to low-carbon energy, and exchanged views on opportunities for further cooperation.

The progress of the EBRD-supported auction process for the Gobustan solar power plant was assessed.

The representative of the Bank was informed about the steps taken to establish“green” energy corridors“Caspian-Black Sea-Europe” and“Azerbaijan-Central Asia-Europe," COP29-related initiatives, and planned activities in the energy sector.
