Azerbaijan Highlights Reason For Reduction Of Water Resources In Country
Taghiyev noted that over the past seven years, glacier areas in the country's territory have decreased by 18 percent on average.
“The area of mountain lakes has decreased by 4.2 percent compared to August last year. Judging from our observations in recent years, it is not the Kura River that flows into the sea, but the sea flows into the Kura. The Kura River, which originates in Türkiye, cannot join the sea in the territory of Neftchala district. This will eventually lead to the depletion of our water resources,” he added.
