Sanath Demands Discipline In Sri Lanka Cricket Team
Speaking to reporters in Colombo, Wednesday, Jayasuriya noted that cricket is a“gentleman's game” and so there needs to be a little discipline.
Jayasuriya was asked if he had instructed the team to cut their hair and remove earrings.
The former captain said he was was not going overboard but will ensure some discipline.
He noted that senior players must set an example for young cricketers.
Jayasuriya was also asked if he had the experience to be a national team coach considering that he had not even coached a club team.
While admitting he did not have the full experience, Jayasuriya said that he had worked with top coaches during his career as a cricketer and he felt that experience was sufficient.
He also asserted that he was only an interim coach and will be replaced once a full-time coach is picked after the series between Sri Lanka and India. (Colombo Gazette)
