Launch Of Flights To Fuzuli Marks New Milestone In Azerbaijan's Civil Aviation Development - AZAL

The launch of flights to Fuzuli marks a new milestone in the development of Azerbaijan's civil aviation, Head of press service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) Farid Huseynov told reporters about it within the framework of a press tour to Karabakh, Trend reports.

“ Azerbaijan airlines has started regular flights from Baku to Fuzuli and back since July 17. This event arouses a sense of pride, as for the first time in the history of the national carrier regular flights to Karabakh are realized. The launch of flights to Fuzuli marks a new milestone in the development of civil aviation of our country," he said.

According to him, these flights will allow citizens to reach the pearl of Karabakh - the city of Shusha, as well as Lachin and other regions faster and more conveniently.

“Regular flights to Fuzuli not only contribute to the implementation of the state program "Great Return", but also open new prospects for the development of tourism and the economy of the region. Flights on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route are performed twice a week - on Mondays and Fridays. The flight time is 50 minutes,” he added.

To note, to purchase an air ticket it is necessary to enter the portal yolumuzuzqarabaga, pass the authorization process, and receive a special code. This code is required for confirmation when purchasing a ticket on the official website or in the AZAL app. It is important to remember that access to Karabakh is carried out only by special permission, so air tickets for the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route can be purchased only by citizens of Azerbaijan.

Following the decision of the board of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, the cost of air tickets for Baku-Fizuli-Fizuli-Baku direction is 78 manat one way. This price includes 10 kg of hand luggage and 23 kg of luggage.

Children between 2 and 12 years of age receive a 25 percent discount on the fare, and infants under 2 years of age receive a 90 percent discount.
