Ganga Cauvery To Enchant Doha Music Enthusiasts On July 20

DOHA: music enthusiasts in Doha are welcome to a fusion of Hindustani and Carnatic musical traditions“Ganga Cauvery” concert on Saturday, July 20.

President of India awardee, Purbayan Chatterjee who is India's leading Sitar maestro will join with Ambi Subramaniam, who is hailed as the new king of Indian classical violin. The event organised by Beats and Tunes Events will be held at Al Thuraya Ball Room in Pullman Doha Hotel at 6pm.

Purbayan specialises in building bridges between different world genres and leads the band“Classicool”. He has several international albums to his credit which have topped the charts and are well recognized across the world. He has performed in all the well known festivals in India and several international festivals including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, OzAsia Festival in Australia and Traumzeit Festival in Germany.

Ambi has been trained by his father and guru Dr. L. Subramaniam since he was three years old and gave his first stage performance at the age of seven. He has received recognitions including the Ritz Icon of the Year Award, the Rotary Youth Award, two Global Indian Music Awards and was named amongst GQ ( Gentlemen's Quarterly)'s 25 Most Influential Young Indians in 2021.
