War Update: 38 Combat Clashes In Eastern Zone Since Day-Start

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Thirty-eight Russian assaults had already been recorded in the eastern operational zone since the start of Sunday.

That's according to Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesman for the Khortytsia Grouping of Troops, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

He assured that the Defense Forces, as soon as they get the opportunity, will push Russian forces as far as possible from the outskirts of Chasiv Yar. Meanwhile, the enemy keeps massively shelling the area and performing assault operations.

"Over 280 strikes involving various types of weapons were recorded in that area (in the past day - ed.), and 10 enemy assaults were carried out precisely in Chasiv Yar. Also, the enemy launched 20 airstrikes, dropped 32 bombs, most of them targeting the Toretsk axis, which is 23 gliding bombs. This is the most intensive bombardment since the outset of active hostilities in that axis. Our Defense Forces are holding on, destroying the enemy - 76 occupiers were eliminated and 113 were injured in the past day, and four Russian soldiers were captured," he said.
