Amman, July 4 (Petra) - Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa highlighted the need for effective communication with community activities and the private sector to foster economic empowerment and implement the graduation policy for families benefiting from the National Aid Fund.
During a meeting on Thursday with the Director General of the National Aid Fund, Khitam Shneikat, and field managers, Mustafa commended the efforts of the Ministry and Fund employees in achieving the goals of the social protection strategy, aiming for an acceptable standard of living for poor families.
Mustafa urged the managers to deliver top-quality services to citizens, adhering to the Fund's institutional values in assisting poor and needy families, and finding appropriate solutions in line with laws and regulations. She stressed the importance of streamlining procedures and expediting the completion of citizens' transactions, particularly for families facing emergency humanitarian conditions.
She emphasized that field tours in various regions significantly contribute to amending instructions and aiding families in need.
"We are approaching a constitutional entitlement to hold parliamentary elections. Therefore, the requests of poor families must be handled impartially and fairly, without pressure from any party on field employees," Mustafa stated.
Shneikat underscored the importance of collaboration between the Ministry and the Fund to achieve the goal of delivering aid to needy families based on indicators and databases. She also highlighted the role of electronic transformation in implementing the Fund's programs, facilitating service delivery according to advanced standards, thereby saving effort, time, and cost for needy citizens.
She emphasized the significance of economic empowerment for poor families, stating that providing qualitative training to family members is crucial in moving them from dependence on financial aid to broader opportunities, ultimately breaking the cycle of subsidy dependency.
