Many times, he is too weak to apply pressure on the site for an extended time. We thought there should be a bandage to apply the same pressure as the forefinger and middle finger to stop the bleeding," said an inventor, from Joliet, Ill., "so we invented the PRESSURE AID. Our design offers an alternative to traditional adhesive bandages that don't hold gauze effectively and tend to fall off easily."

The invention provides an improved padded bandage for applying pressure to a wound or venipuncture site. In doing so, it helps stop bleeding and encourages clotting. It also would keep the wound clean and protected. The invention features a simple and effective design that is easy to apply so it is ideal for hospitals, nursing homes, testing/lab facilities, households, etc. Additionally, a prototype model is available upon request.
