(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 2. Uzbekistan isworking on agreements with the US and the UK on the criticallycrucial raw material aspects, President of Uzbekistan ShavkatMirziyoyev said, Trend reports.
He spoke at the III Tashkent International Investment Forum.
"Last month, strategical cooperation was established with the EUon the highly important aspects of raw materials. We also work onsimilar agreements with the US and the UK," president of Uzbekistanemphasized.
He also noted that in this regard, based on the moderninternational experience, the law on some soils will beadopted.
Meanwhile, the III Tashkent International Investment Forum isbeing held in Tashkent on May 2–3.
Almost 2,500 people from 84 countries are expected toparticipate. Among them are government representatives, heads ofmajor companies, as well as high-ranking guests from internationalorganizations such as the UN, EBRD, OPEC, and SCO.
The forum program includes more than 40 events, includingbreakout sessions, round tables, presentations, and meetings ofintergovernmental commissions. A launching ceremony for a number ofprojects in Uzbekistan is also envisaged.
