Mastercard Outlines Main Priorities Of Activity In Azerbaijan For Upcoming Period


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. One of thepriorities in Azerbaijan is to increase the number of NFC devices,Mastercard's regional manager in Azerbaijan Emil Zeynalov saidduring the press conference, Trend reports.

“One of our priorities is, of course, to increase the number ofNFC devices. As we said earlier, NFC devices are very popular amongeveryone. You use these services on social media, and all ourcampaigns are aimed at expanding this. We also plan to continueinvesting in tokenization by running more campaigns that encourageNFC payments, as well as adding more banks to ApplePay and GooglePay services,” he said.

According to him, the second priority is to expand the scope ofMasterpass.

“We are also prioritizing further expanding the reach ofMasterpass technology by partnering with banks and starting tointegrate with their mobile apps. We introduced Masterpass as partof the mobile application of one of the largest banks in Azerbaijanin 2023,” he added.

To note, Mastercard is an international payment system thatprovides financial services, including credit, debit, and prepaidcards. It allows its holders to make cashless payments at millionsof points of sale around the world. Mastercard also providestechnology solutions for banks, merchants, and other financialinstitutions. Mastercard cards are accepted in many countries andare used for a variety of transactions, including in-storepurchases, online transactions, ATM cash withdrawals, and otherfinancial transactions.
