KVIC Facilitates Artisans With Machinery & Toolkits Under 'Sri Ram Mahotsav' & 'Khadi Samvad'

(MENAFN- KNN India) Haryana, Jan 23 (KNN) The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), distributed machinery and toolkits in Village-Jhumpa of Haryana, on Monday.

The event was conducted as part of the Sri Ram Mahotsav, Khadi Samvad, and Village Industries Development Scheme, and witnessed the participation of thousands of artisans, beneficiaries, and local residents

Various items, including 120 electrically operated chalks, 350 bee boxes, 20 automatic agarbatti machines, 20 pedal-operated agarbatti machines, 75 leather tool kits, and certificates to about 40 trainees, were distributed to artisans.

During the event, the consecration of Sri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya was broadcasted live by KVIC.

Biplab Kumar Deb, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, served as the chief guest, accompanied by Manoj Kumar, Chairman, KVIC, and Jai Prakash Dalal, Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Animal Husbandry, Haryana Government.

Biplab Kumar Dev acknowledged the commendable efforts of KVIC towards rural empowerment. He highlighted the significance of organising a special toolkit distribution program on this mystical occasion, reinforcing India's commitment to self-reliance and development. Manoj Kumar was praised for tirelessly working to elevate the Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

Addressing the program, Jai Prakash Dalal emphasised the significant work done by the 'double engine' government in Haryana for the welfare of farmers. He highlighted KVIC's role in extending Government of India schemes to every village for the empowerment of rural artisans over the past nine years.

Manoj Kumar highlighted the guarantee of a self-reliant and developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He underscored KVIC's commitment to promoting Khadi and indigenous products, providing self-employment, and economic support to poor artisans.

The business of Khadi and village industry products has notably crossed Rs 1.34 lakh crore in the last nine years, reflecting the success of various employment-oriented schemes and programs. The production and sale of Khadi textiles have seen substantial growth, contributing to the restoration of Khadi's historical significance in India's freedom struggle.
