Windshield Crack Of Biman's Plane Leads To Emergency Landing In Dhaka
Dhaka: A Dammam bound flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG349) made an emergency landing in Dhaka on January 20 over a windshield crack witnessed mid-flight.
The flight, operated by Boeing 787-9, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:00 pm on January 20 for Dammam in Saudi Arabia with 285 passengers onboard.
About two hours into the sky, the flight's captain noticed a crack in the windshield of the plane. Following the instruction of Dhaka's air traffic control, the flight was diverted, flying another two hours through Indian airspace, back to Dhaka Airport.
Once the flight made the emergency landing in Dhaka successfully, 297 passengers including the crew were taken safely to the airport's lounge.
