Russia starts assembly of domestic luxury car brand Aurus in UAE
(MENAFN) On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov announced that Russia has initiated the assembly of the domestic luxury car brand Aurus in the United Arab Emirates.
The production has commenced with the executive sedan, Aurus Senat, renowned as the official limousine of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Manturov mentioned plans to later extend manufacturing to include Aurus Komendant SUVs, although no specific timeframe was provided.
Additionally, there are intentions to establish a dealership center in the UAE for the sale and customization of Aurus cars for prospective buyers.
Manturov highlighted that the UAE is poised to become a central hub for the distribution of Russian luxury vehicles in the Middle East.
“We are considering expansion. First, we will firmly establish ourselves here in the UAE, and then we will move forward,” he stated in reply to an inquiry around the potential opening of an Aurus display area in Saudi Arabia.
