Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Korea, H E Yoon Suk Yeol held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday morning.

At the beginning of the session, His Highness the Amir welcomed His Excellency the Korean President and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay. His Highness looked forward to this visit contributing to consolidating cooperation and partnership relations in a way that achieves the interests of the two friendly countries.
His Highness stressed in this regard his keenness to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, especially with the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries is approaching, which both countries will celebrate next year, wishing Qatari-Korean relations further development and growth.
For his part, His Excellency the Korean President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality, stressing his keenness to develop cooperation relations between the two countries and push them to broader horizons in multiple fields, and to enhance cooperation between the two countries at the regional and international levels.
During the session, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and ways to support and develop them in various fields of cooperation, especially in energy, investment and culture were discussed, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest.
The session was attended by the Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of Municipality H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, the Minister of Commerce and Industry H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of Culture H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.
His Highness the Amir and His Excellency the Korean President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed a number of issues of common interest.
His Highness the Amir held a luncheon in honour of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Korea and his accompanying delegation.
An official reception ceremony was held earlier for His Excellency the Korean President upon his arrival at the Amiri Diwan.
