Moscow considers forming trading business for exporting fertilizer
(MENAFN) According to individuals familiar with the discussions, a new agency revealed on Monday that Moscow is considering the possibility of forming a single trading business for the export of fertilizer.
The proposed action, according to the newspaper, would consolidate Russian fertilizer exporters under a single organization, giving the nation more influence over worldwide prices while giving the administration more control over fertilizer export income.
According to reports, Dmitry Mazepin, the creator of the enormous Russian fertilizer company Uralchem, presented the concept in July. Major fertilizer producers, deputy premier Denis Manturov, and Prime Premier Mikhail Mishustin have been debating the issue over the previous month. The news agency sources reported that certain fertilizer manufacturers opposed the move because they were concerned it might hurt their industry. No decisions have apparently been taken, and the discussions are still in their early stages.
The press office for Uralchem denied being aware of the idea. Requests for comment from the media were not met by administration representatives.
