(MENAFN- Live Mint) "A viral video of a teacher and owner of a school in Muzaffarpur left many people furibecause of her derogatory remarks against Muslims.In the video, the lady, Tripti Tyagi, could be seen instructing students to slap their 'Muslim' classmate one by one. The victim student can be seen standing and crying, whereas other students continue to slap him. Tripty Tyagi is the teacher and owner of Neha Public School in Muzzafarpur, UP.After the video went viral on the internet, it sparked sharp criticism from politicians, activists, and celebrities. On the video, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded the arrest of the teacher.“Sowing the poison of discrimination in the minds of innocent children, turning a holy place like a school into a marketplace of hatred - nothing worse a teacher can do for the country. This is the same kerosene spread by the BJP that has set every corner of India on fire. Children are the future of India - we all have to teach them love, not hate,” he tweeted.The video has erupted sharp reactions from all the faction of society. Recently, actress Renuka Sahane gave sharp reaction on the video.“That vile teacher should be behind bars! Instead, she might just get a national teacher's award for promoting national integration! Kafkaesque!! Cry, my beloved country,” she tweeted.Her comments on the matter which was indirectly associated with the recent award announcement of National Award, resulted in her trolling. However, many people came in her support on the social media site.Showing her objection in the matter, Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar retweeted a tweet posted by Jayant Singh on the UP teacher remark.Taking the note of the matter, Priyanka Kanoongo, the chairperson of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights said that the body has issued instructions for the action.“We received information that in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, an incident has been reported where a teacher is asking children to beat a child. Taking cognisance, instructions are being issued for action,” said Priyanka Kanoongo, reported IE.She also requested people to not share the video of the child. She asked people to give information about such incidents by email. Sharing video on social media will make them a part of the crime by revealing the identity of the children.
