“It Must Stop” - Un Coordinator On Russian Missile Strike On Chernihiv's Main Square

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The United Nations has condemned Russia's“heinous” missile strike targeting the central part of Chernihiv, a regional center located northeast of Kyiv.

That's according to the UN press service , Ukrinform reports.

“I am extremely disturbed by the news of yet another Russian strike that hit shortly ago the heart of Chernihiv, in northern Ukraine, leaving dozens of civilians killed and injured, including children,” said Denise Brown, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Ukraine.

“It is heinous to attack the main square of a large city, in the morning, while people are out walking, some going to the church to celebrate a religious day for many Ukrainians,” the official stressed.

“It must stop,” Denise Brown concluded.

The strike killed seven people and injured another 117, according to the latest update.
