Managers at Us media giants lose occupation due to ordering ‘balanced’ news

(MENAFN) Two managers at the NBC News associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan, have lost their occupations for boldly telling staff members to present impartial coverage of Pride Month events as well as signifying that stories associated to LGBTQ matters could be “polarizing” for the station’s mostly traditional spectators.

In line with many media statements, WOOD-TV news director Stanton Tang as well as his deputy, Amy Fox, were released from their jobs on Thursday after a two-week probation by the outlet’s parent firm, Nexstar Media Group.

Another two newsroom workers – executive producer Luke Stier as well as producer Madeline Odle -- were discarded after Nexstar decided that they had gave away the inside coverage memo that caused the argument.

Texas-based Nexstar is the largest United States operator of broadcast television sources, conceited 200 stations all over the nation.

The row at WOOD-TV started earlier this month, when Tang directed Fox to write and issue a memo on the station’s reporting of Pride Month events.
