(MENAFN- jordan times) amman - san marino foreign minister luca beccari on tuesday praised relations with jordan in various fields, expressing his country's keenness to further boost cooperation.during a meeting with san marino honorary consul in amman, samer kawar, beccari referred to the importance of the aqaba meetings, an initiative put forth by his majesty king abdullah to maintain international and regional cooperation in fighting terrorism. the minister also highlighted jordan's key role in combating terrorism and extremism.
beccari said that it is important that jordan and san marino work together to consolidate the principles of pluralism, diversity and tolerance, the consulate said in a statement cited by the jordan news agency, petra.
he also stressed the need for global partnerships to work for the public interest and towards freedom of religion, noting the importance of dialogue and acceptance of others, emanating from king abdullah's firm belief in human rights, justice and freedom.
the minister also commended the efforts of the honorary consul in boosting relations between the two countries, urging further expansion of cooperation in economic, tourism and cultural fields, building on successes and utlising opportunities in both countries.
