ATLANTA (Pajhwok): US special representative Thomas West has left for Britain and the United Arab Emirates for talks on Afghanistan.
“I will visit London and Abu Dhabi this week, June 5-9, to connect with UK and UAE colleagues regarding shared interests in Afghanistan,” West tweeted on Monday.
He added that he will discuss the latest situation in Afghanistan with the officials of the mentioned countries.
Last month, West travelled to Qatar where he participated in a special meeting of the United Nations regarding Afghanistan.
Before that, he had met with Afghan politicians, former officials, women's representatives and civil society members along with local officials during his trips to some countries.
