15 firms attend KSA's s second tourism roadshow in Tokyo

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia recently organized its second tourism roadshow in Tokyo on May 25th, featuring the participation of 15 partner companies. The event aimed to highlight the Kingdom's "hidden attractions" and promote tourism opportunities. In 2019, Saudi Arabia's tourism body conducted promotional campaigns in 49 countries, and the Japanese market holds particular significance as part of their global efforts. The goal is to attract 100 million regional and international visitors to the Kingdom by 2030. Alhasan Aldabbagh, the head of the Asia Pacific desk of the Saudi Tourism Board, emphasized the importance of Japan as a partner in showcasing Saudi Arabia as a premier destination. He expressed the commitment to provide the necessary tools and resources to support businesses interested in the Saudi tourism sector.

To facilitate operations and strengthen ties, Saudi Arabia established an office in Tokyo in 2021 to oversee the operations of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA). Additionally, a comprehensive handbook containing detailed information about the country's tourism products will soon be made available to Japanese partners. During a gala reception held after the roadshow, Aldabbagh expressed gratitude for the attendees' support and optimism about the future collaboration and closer relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan in the tourism sector.

The roadshow in Tokyo demonstrates Saudi Arabia's proactive approach to expanding its tourism industry and attracting visitors from around the world. By actively engaging with international markets and forming partnerships, the Kingdom aims to showcase its unique attractions and position itself as a compelling travel destination. The commitment to promoting tourism opportunities in Japan underscores the country's efforts to diversify its economy and leverage the potential of the tourism sector to drive growth and development.
