Abdulrahman Alwosheel, a research associate at KAPSARC and co-author of the report, highlighted the Kingdom's strategic geopolitical location, which positions it as a potential gateway connecting Asia Pacific to Europe and America. Leveraging this advantage would not only contribute to achieving the tourism goals outlined in Vision 2030 but also enhance the Kingdom's role as a vital global transportation hub.

To enhance the aviation industry, Alwosheel emphasized the importance of improving infrastructure, increasing connectivity, investing in innovation and technology, developing a skilled workforce, and promoting tourism. Saudi Arabia's decision to allow tourist visas has already resulted in significant progress in the tourism sector, offering new opportunities for growth and development.

The KAPSARC report emphasized that the advancement of Saudi Arabia's aviation sector is crucial for realizing the objectives set forth in Vision 2030. The National Tourism Strategy of the Kingdom aims to attract 100 million visitors by 2030 and increase the tourism sector's contribution to the gross domestic product to more than 10 percent.
