São Paulo – Musical adaptation O profeta , based on Lebanon's Khalil Gibran 's book, is back in the city of São Paulo. Performances started on May 11 and run until June 11, from Wednesdays to Sundays, in Teatro B32, in the district of Itaim Bibi, at 8 pm, except on Sundays, when they start at 5 pm.
The prophet Al Mustafa has lived in the city of Orphalese for 12 years and is about to board a ship which will carry him home. He is deterred by a group of people, with whom he discusses topics such as life and the human condition.
Gibran's tale of the turbulent, uncertain journey of the man through life is adapted by Lúcia Helena Galvão, starred by Sami Bordokan. The play features direction by Luiz Antônio Rocha, light design by Ricardo Fujii, and set and costumes by Uruguayan visual artist Eduardo Albini. Willian and Sami Bordokan are musical directors.

The Prophet is the most read book after the Bible and has been translated into over one hundred languages. This year it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Its author, Gibran, lived from 1883 to 1931. He was a philosopher, writer, poet, essayist and painter. His works are renowned and remain as a reference despite the years that have passed since its first publication.
