Royal Initiative: 26 Underprivileged Families In Balqa, Irbid Receive New Homes
The initiative was launched by His Majesty King Abdullah's directives, derived from observations during field visits and meetings with leaders and residents of the two governorates.
Launched in 2005, this initiative covers the entire Kingdom and aims to provide beneficiaries with a decent and stable life, primarily in pockets of poverty.
Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, handed the residence titles over to the beneficiaries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Issawi and other attendees toured the new houses, which were especially adapted according to the circumstances of beneficiary families, especially the elderly and persons with disabilities. The housing units have been furnished and provided with various household supplies, electrical appliances and services that meet beneficiaries' needs.
The beneficiary families expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah for the initiative, which reflects His Majesty's interest and keenness to provide decent living conditions for people living in difficult socioeconomic conditions.
Also on Thursday, Issawi, in the presence of Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah and other officials, checked on the progress of construction on the Abder Secondary Girls' School in Irbid's Bani Kinana District, which is being established using a prefabricated building on an eight-dunum plot of land. The land has an area of 7,600 square metres.
In press statements, Issawi said that His Majesty attaches great importance to improving the quality of life of citizens and securing their basic needs. This includes the level of services provided to citizens, the conditions of local communities and ensuring that urgent assistance is provided in the most pressing humanitarian situations.
