Doha: Cultural Association Thrissur Jilla Sauhrudavedi (TJSV), along with Hamad Medical Corporation, organised their 29th blood donation camp on Friday, March 17, at Hamad Blood Donor Center (West Energy Center).
The drive aimed to support HMC's national campaign to encourage citizens and residents to donate blood regularly. The members of TJSV and their families, donors from all nationalities joined the drive, and around 350 people donated their blood and strengthened the social bond of the TJSV once again.
NORKA Roots Director, Bahzad Group Chairman and Patron of TJSV, JK Menon, formally inaugurated the camp in a ceremony presided by the Vice President of the TJSV Mohammad Rafi. Blood Donation Camp coordinator Jishad Hyderali welcomed the gathering, and TJSV Gen Secretary Srinivasan highlighted the organisation's journey and the importance of blood donation.
IBPC President Jafar Sadiq, TJSV Treasurer Pramod Moonnini, Hamad Blood Donor Unit Representative Abdul Khader and Naseem Healthcare Corporate & Marketing Imran Saeed felicitated the drive on this occasion. Camp Asst. Coordinator Nisham Ismail moderated the program while another Asst. Coordinator Derrick John proposed the vote of thanks.
ICC President AP Manikandan and ICBF President Shanavas Bawa visited the blood donors along with the TJSV team and spread enthusiasm among the members. The TJSV blood donation committee, who led the camp, received a certificate of appreciation from Hamad Hospital in the presence of executive council members.
