Russia Mod: US Drone Penetrates Russian Military Operations Area In Crimea


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MOSCOW, March 14 (KUNA) -- A US drone violated Russian military operations zone over the Crimean Peninsula and crashed into the Black Sea, Russia's Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Tuesday.
The drone flew over the Crimean Peninsula towards Russia's borders, Russian news agency 'TASS' quoted sources the ministry, adding that the drone did not use its lights.
The ministry launched two Russian fighter jets to identify the drone that lost its control due to its maneuvers, the sources noted.
The Russian jets neither collided with the US drone nor used weapons to shut down it, and the jets returned to their base safely, it said. (end)
