Health Minister Ranked 3Rd Among Middle East's Top Healthcare Leaders

Doha: Minister of Public health H E Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari has been ranked third in 'Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Healthcare Leaders' list which includes the region's most influential healthcare heads in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical facilities, technology, medical equipment, and investment.

H E Al Kuwari has been also recognized for her role as the Managing Director at Hamad Medical Corporation and allied facilities; responsibilities at several boards, including for the Academic Health System International Advisory Board and Sidra Medicine.

Forbes Middle East's March issue has featured Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Healthcare Leaders transforming and investing in the region's healthcare ecosystem.

Besides H E Al Kuwari, three more healthcare leaders are also included in the list of Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Healthcare Leaders.

CEO of Medicare Group (MCGS) Khalid Al Emadi is ranked 43 on the list for his contribution to establishing hospitals and outpatient clinics, Hemya' center, a unique diet program; Re'aya - home nursing service, Enaya - physiotherapy service, and Al Wakra branch of the Al-Ahli Hospital.

CEO of Sidra Medicine, Dr. Iyabo Tinubu-Karch is ranked 58 on the list. She assumed her current role in December 2022. Dr.Tinubu-Karch was previously a non-executive board member at Sidra Medicine and had an advisory role on the management committee. She is also the founder and CEO of 6M Geriatrics and Hospital Medicine.

Managing Director, Naseem Healthcare Mohammed Miandad VP is ranked 66th in Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Healthcare Leaders list. Miandad has been leading Naseem Healthcare 2011, which is a subsidiary of 33 Holdings. It provides medical services through seven medical centers and five pharmacies. In 2022, Naseem Healthcare launched its surgical center and announced the launch of Naseem Humans, the CSR arm of Naseem Healthcare. Miandad is also the chairman and managing director of 33 Holdings, which employs over 1,000 people.

Highlighting the criteria for followed in selecting 'Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Healthcare Leaders list Forbes Middle East has said that it has considered - the size of the company the leader is heading, including revenues, assets, and facilities; impact that the leader has had on the region's healthcare sector; innovative initiatives and achievements in the past year; experience of the leader in the sector and current designation and role within the company; diversity of operations; and ownership of assets. Forbes Middle East also said that all healthcare leads included in the list“are playing an influential role within MENA's healthcare ecosystem in 11 countries.”
