ANKARA, March 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) delivered on Thursday relief aid and necessities to Palestinian refugees in Osmaniye Province affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkiye.
Speaking to KUNA, KRCS's Deputy Chairman of the Board Anwar Al-Haswai said that it was paramount to deliver relief aid to Palestinian refugees residing in Turkiye.
Palestinian refugees took advantage of clear areas between residential buildings to construct their makeshift dwellings, he indicated, adding that such locations were prone the impact of tremors and aftershocks.
He affirmed that KRCS would continue to aid refugees in Turkiye and Turkish citizens especially in their current predicament, noting that they would focus on reaching all those in need wherever in the country.
On February sixth, southern Turkiye and northern Syria were impacted by a strong 7.7-magnitude earthquake followed by 7.6-magnitude aftershock, leading to huge losses in lives and devastation to infrastructure and buildings. (end)
