Alborz province to add 2,000 ha under greenhouse cultivation

(MENAFN) As declared by the governor-general of Alborz district, 2,000 hectares of land are prepared to be added to the area under greenhouse cultivation in this district.

Mojtaba Abdollahi asserted that the improvement of greenhouse cultivation, as well as economizing on water intake, rising productivity, as well as stopping the alteration of agricultural land utilization, established jobs and is economically sustainable noticeably.

Asserting that it is important for all related organization and municipalities to take the needed actions to back and ease the creation of greenhouses, he also assured that the infrastructure required for this important matter, mainly water, electricity as well as gas need to be provided.

The Agriculture Department of the province also has an important liability because it should motivate and back the farmers of the province to alter their traditional cultivation way to the knowledge-located one via education and information, the official mentioned.
