Saudi Arabia reveals 27 ventures to grow water desalination in Asir area


(MENAFN) In a move to grow the water provide to wider parts of the nation, Saudi Arabia has reviled 27 improvement ventures valued at SR4 billion (USD1.07 billion) in the Asir area that is going to serve around 160,000 additional beneficiaries.

Implemented by Asir Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz, the ventures are targeted at improving the drinking water system, securing the provision, and growing the availability of services in the area.

The plans are going to also enable water and environmental sustainability in the Asir area along with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Throughout the implementation, the governor released the attempts of Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli, the minister of environment, water, and agriculture, for ideating these plans.

The Asir governor was informed around the ministry’s attempts to grow the operational volume of ventures, prepare additioanl environment systems, and maintain natural resources.

furthermore, it was underlined that the ministry grew the protection of vegetation covers, in addition to surged the rehabilitation and improvement of national parks.
