The Sabaragamuwa University has been temporarily closed for all students except first year students.

The decision to temporarily close the university was taken following an assault by a group of senior students on first-year undergraduates.

As a result, students in the hostel have been advised to vacate the premises today.

At least 09 students were injured and admitted to hospital following the clash. (Colombo Gazette)
