LONDON - Weber Shandwick has made a raft of senior appointments in the UK, appointing new leaders across its corporate and consumer benches.
Laura Tapper, previously the agency's B2B lead, is promoted to managing director of a new corporate enterprise offer that brings together Weber Shandwick's corporate, B2B, sustainability and social impact, and public affairs capabilities. Former FleishmanHillard corporate communications leader Steph Bailey (pictured) has joined as EVP of growth for the new corporate enterprise.
The appointments follow a period of growth for the agency after a series of client wins, including IKEA UK's corporate and public affairs brief.
During her nine years at Weber Shandwick, Tapper has helped launch and develop the B2B practice, and led integrated campaigns for IBM and Experian. Bailey, who has also worked in senior roles at Red, Edelman, Hill+Knowlton and boldspace , will focus on C-suite advisory, corporate healthcare and sustainability.

The move follows the launch of another new offer at Weber Shandwick, business & society futures , which aims to give clients a single point of access to strategists and counsellors from across Weber Shandwick Collective advisory brands, Powell Tate, United Minds, KRC Research and Weber Shandwick's corporate affairs, public affairs and social impact and sustainability specialties.
At the same time, Weber Shandwick has made two leadership promotions in its UK consumer team, both to newly-created roles. Jess Dyas, previously senior vice president of integrated media strategy, has been promoted to MD of the London consumer team, while Katie Hill, formerly senior vice president of client experience, has been promoted to EVP of earned media for the UK.
Dyas has been with the agency for five years, working with clients such as Pinterest and Tinder, with recent work including overseeing eBay's partnership with the Love Island TV show.
Based in Manchester and working across the UK network, Hill will oversee earned media campaigns and media relations strategies for consumer clients. During her eight years at Weber Shandwick, she has led campaigns for Iceland, IKEA, Aldi, McDonald's and Selfridges and ran the agency's work with The Food Foundation, including the a child food poverty campaign fronted by footballer Marcus Rashford.
