Sports world sends condolences to Turkey after powerful earthquakes


(MENAFN) Sports world showed their sympathy with Turkey on Monday following robust earthquakes struck the nation’s southern area, leaving hundreds of people deceased and many thousands wounded.

European football's governing body UEFA, EuroLeague Basketball, as well as Real Madrid voiced their condolences messages individually on Twitter.

UEFA published a tweet saying "The thoughts of UEFA and the European football community are with the people of Türkiye and Syria, and all those affected by this morning's devastating earthquake."

EuroLeague stated its condolences around the people who died in the quake, stating: " Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent earthquake in Türkiye."

Real Madrid also condoled with the relatives of those died in the earthquake.

"Real Madrid C. F., the club's president and its Board of Directors would like to share their deepest sympathy and solidarity for the earthquake that has struck Turkey and Syria in the last few hours," Real Madrid asserted.
