(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met in Tokyo Tuesday with HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani during his current visit to Japan, on the sidelines of the second strategic dialogue between the two countries.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in all fields and the importance of continuing dialogue and co-ordination to foster joint interests.
HE Sheikh Mohamed hailed the solid relations between the two countries, expressing that Qatar is looking forward to Kishida's visit to Doha.
He welcomed boosting the economic co-operation and encouraging mutual investments between both countries, most notably in energy sector, as well as encouraging joint investment in the renewable energy field.
Prime Minister Kishida expressed his country's appreciation for the Qatari efforts for mediation and dispute resolution in a way that contributes to solidifying international peace and security.
