Australian competitive eater seeks to achieve eating competitions from every country

(MENAFN) James Webby, an Australian competitive eater, is driven to complete triumph in eating competitions all around the world.

Before quitting his job in May 2021 due to his participation in an eating competition, Webby, 33, was employed as a marketing expert for a business in Australia.

Since then, he has solely participated in eating competitions. The competitive eater competed in contests all around the world, including those in the US, Brazil, and Argentina, and he consistently placed first.

“I want to travel the world and win every competition,” Webby informed Anadolu.

Webby received a social media invitation to visit Türkiye from Mustafa Girisken, the proprietor of a burger restaurant in Kastamonu, northern Turkey, to participate in a competition.

On January 17, Webby traveled to Turkey and took part in eating contests in a number of different places, including Istanbul, Izmir, Adana, and Antalya.

Additionally, he took part in a contest held by Girisken in Kastamonu, where he consumed 25 hamburgers and one liter of coke in 51 minutes and 36 seconds for the chance to win a phone and 5,000 Turkish lira (USD265).

Girisken stated that “He (Webby) said he likes the Türkiye cuisine, but baklava is his favorite. He advanced by winning all the competitions in Türkiye. His dream is to participate in all the competitions in the world. His next stop will be Dubai, which offers the biggest prize among others.”
