Doha: The Old Doha Port has emerged as one of the most visited places nowadays, and aside from its eye-catching colourful buildings and cruise terminal, among others, it also provides short-term lodging.
This is through a boutique hotel and serviced apartments, both of which started operating last year.
Old Doha Port Executive Director, Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla told The Peninsula that they have developed 127 serviced apartments and a boutique hotel that contains 30 hotel rooms.
“Both hotel and apartments are being operated by The Torch and Aziziya Hotel, so we have experienced operator and has the knowledge of the know-how in this operation.”
He stressed that international visitors and residents can experience staying at the port with an amazing view of the sea, West Bay skyline and Corniche.
The Executive Director further disclosed that this January, they have been receiving between 3,000 and 4,000 individuals daily at the Old Doha Port. More individuals are anticipated as the cruise season continues until the end of April.
Mina Hotel and Residences, nestled in the prestige Mina District offers 30 rooms Boutique Hotel and 4-star upscale 126 apartments with a view of the sea, West Bay and the Cruise terminal. The hotel and apartments are composed of different low-rise buildings.
The walls are inclined to reflect the cultural heritage of Qatar. All doors, windows, and shutters are wooden with vintage ironmongery.
Booking.com reports that recent visitors gave the Mina Hotel and Residences' location a score of 9.8 out of 10. The five-star hotel offers lodging with a garden, free private parking, a patio, a restaurant, room service, and a 24-hour front desk.
A coffee maker is provided in each hotel room. Guest rooms come with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a shower and bathrobes. Some rooms also have a balcony. A minibar will be available in each room for guests.
Room types include Junior suite (one extra-large double bed), Executive suite (one extra-large double bed with one sofa bed), Deluxe Room (one extra-large double bed), Deluxe Twin Room (two single beds), Studio (one extra-large double bed), One, Two and Three-Bedroom Apartment.
And prices start from QR600 and go up to QR2,200 for a one-night stay. The Grand Cruise Terminal, Mina District, Mina Corniche, Mina Beach, and Chabrat Al Mina or Fish Market are just a few of the attractions located in Old Doha Port. The 37 mixed-use buildings that make up the colourful complex compose of cafes, restaurants, retail stores, and retail outlets.
