Ukrainian Forces Repel 16 Enemy Attacks, Including Assaults On Bakhmut, Vuhledar


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's defense forces have repelled attacks by Russian occupation troops on 16 settlements, including Bakhmut and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this on its facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

'Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the occupiers' attacks outside the settlements of Dibrova and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, Sil, Blahodatne, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region,' the report said.

It added that the enemy does not abandon their intentions to destroy Ukraine's critical infrastructure, striking civilian objects and homes of the civilian population. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupiers have launched a missile strike and 32 air strikes and carried out more than 65 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, including on the civilian infrastructure of the Donetsk and Kherson regions. Civilian casualties were recorded.

The threat of air and missile strikes remains in place for the entire territory of Ukraine.

In the past day, Ukraine's Air Force launched four strikes on Russian military personnel concentration areas. Ukrainian rocket and artillery forces hit two Russian command posts, two air defense positions, six military personnel concentration areas, an ammunition warehouse and an electronic warfare station.

As of January 28, during the full-scale war, Ukraine's defense forces have killed about 125,510 Russian aggressors and destroyed 3,189 enemy tanks, 6,344 armored fighting vehicles and other enemy equipment.
