(MENAFN- KNN India) MSMEs ensure Rs 9,229 cr worth investment at Kanpur meet

Kanpur, Jan 23 (KNN) During the district-level investors' summit in Kanpur on Sunday, MoU pertaining investment of about Rs 9,229 crore was signed with the MSME industries.

Overall Rs 70,000 crore worth MoUs were signed at the summit by the Uttar Pradesh government.

Total 31 big investors and entrepreneurs were honoured with certificates, shawls and symbols on the occasion.

The programme saw participation from about 400 investors and new schemes of MSME, handloom export and other sectors were presented.

Industrial Development Export Promotion Minister Nand Gopal Gupta inaugurated the programme.

UP State Industrial Development Authority CEO Mayur Maheshwari said,“We are hopeful that by the time we go to the UP Investors' Summit, this figure will reach Rs 1 lakh crore.”
